Early next month, the prestigious BAFTA Awards will be held in the UK, where the film, games, and TV industry will be recognized with awards.
For the games industry, awards will be given in 19 categories including best games, animation, debut games, family, music, and multiplayer. And this week BAFTA revealed the list of nominees for Games.
The nominations for the BAFTA Game Awards 2022 show that we have put a good and exciting gaming year behind us, with critically acclaimed titles such as “It Takes Two”, “Returnal”, “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Forza Horizon 5” and many more.
Nominated in 19 Categories
There is a total of 19 categories and many good games on the list. But “Returnal” has surprised us all with a staggering 9 nominations.
It is a PlayStation 5 exclusive shooter game that has won the hearts of millions. The “Returnal” is nominated in categories such as artistic achievement, best play, game design, music, and narrative.
On the other hand, there are a few other games on the list of favorites including “It Takes Two” and “Forza Horizon 5”. They both stand out with a number of nominations. The “It Takes Two” bags number of nominations at the BAFTA Game Awards 2022 including artistic achievement, best game, and game design. On the other hand, the car game “Frozen Horizon 5” is among the titles that can be named this year’s multiplayer game, technical achievement, and family games.
The winners of the BAFTA Game Awards will be announced on April 7. Below you can see which games have been nominated in the various categories.
