The Gaza genocide has been continuing for more than 1 year and 7 months, and it is the most horrific event ever recorded. As part of its genocidal campaign, Israel has launched a major attack in northern Gaza, killing more than 100 Palestinians early Friday morning. The attack targeted civilians, including ambulances and medical facilities.
According to medical sources, the Israeli Army launched an all-out attack this morning from sea, air, and ground. In this large-scale military attack, the Israeli military primarily targeted ambulances and barely functioning healthcare facilities in Jabalia. This is one of the most horrific and extensive genocidal attacks since Israel resumed its campaigns in early May. Till today, the Israeli genocide has killed at least 61,709 people, including 17,492 children. And they have also proved that Israel is above any international law long ago.
The latest assault consists of multiple targets, including Khan Younis, Rafah, Gaza City, Beit Lahia, and Jabalia. Be it a coincidence or an intended killing spree, Israel has conducted this massacre right after the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, when newly founded Israel forcefully displaced millions of Palestinians from their homes in 1948. The 15 May, the day the Palestinians commemorate the Nakba, the Israeli military attacked on that day as well. But launched it’s largest attack on Friday targeting important infrastructure, including the European Hospital, which was serving the horrified Palestinian population. Now the hospital is out of service and cannot save any more Palestinians being killed by the Israeli Genocide in Gaza.
Currently, the humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic. The Israel blockade on humanitarian aid has created severe starvation. There is not enough food to feed the Gaza civilians for 1 meal a day. They have no water, no electricity, no sanitation system, and almost no basic facilities that a human needs. The few of the left barely functioning healthcare facilities are routinely being bombed into rubble. International Doctors and aid workers cannot get in because Israel has blocked every crossing. Above all these, Israel continues to launch genocidal attacks, killing hundreds of innocent people, half of whom are children, almost every day. The level of suffering the Palestinians are in is unspeakable.
Despite the continued genocide and human rights violations, the United States has supplied weapons of Genocide to Israel. The attack comes when Israel is under pressure of a ceasefire that is most likely to take place sooner. Israel’s behavior says, ‘let’s kill some more before there is another ceasefire, the more you kill, the closer we are to having Gaza cleared of Palestinians’. In a recent interview, the French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron expressed that “what is happening in Gaza is a disgrace,” in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Gaza measures. He also added “France, along with all the Europe, cannot put all the pressure on Israel because it relies on the U.S weapons.”
Throughout the genocide, countries have tried to negotiate for a ceasefire. And as we speak, the negotiations are still going on between Israel and Hamas. Mediators are working on a ceasefire and prisoner release. However, there is no tangible progress yet. Even Trump’s America failed to convince the Israeli PM, and the ICC convicted criminal Netanyahu. However, it was surprising that Trump pulled off the Middle East deal with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, despite Israel’s genocide in Palestine, which the U.S is fully complicit in.
